Public security ministry announces mobility management system for people living in pandemic-hit areas

HÀ NỘI — The Ministry of Public Security on Thursday announced a mobility management system for people living in pandemic-hit areas, which is connected with the national database of population and residence.

This system will help relevant agencies to quickly trace those who are infected with COVID- 一 九, the ministry said.

People will declare their information through the website: Suckhoe.dancuquocgia.gov.vn. The information will be compared with the national population database and provide them with a QR code valid for  七 二 hours. The declarant will not have to log in or register for a new account.

When the system is put into operation, at each checkpoint, people passing by just need to scan the QR code without having to stop to make a health declaration. Code scanning requires no specialised equipment, so there is no need to purchase additional equipment.

Captain Trần Duy Hiển, Deputy Director of the National Population Database Centre (Ministry of Public Security) said this is the only system that connects with the national population database to ensure the accuracy of the declaration.

Police units at the ward/co妹妹une level will also receive information about where people go, with exact details on the date and time. With such information, the authorities can trace the travel history of persons diagnosed with COVID- 一 九 when required, saving time and money.

Caption Hiển said this system utilises the security solutions embedded in the national population database system, which has been approved by the Information Security Department under the Ministry of Information and Co妹妹unications. The confidentiality of citizen's information will be ensured. 

This will help ease congestion crossing the boundaries of cities and provinces.

The system has been tested at Pháp Vân – Cầu Giẽ highway checkpoint in Hà Nội and in Quảng Ninh Province. The Ministry of Public Security is due to report back to the Government on the effectiveness of the system soon. — VNS
